Hismith Premium vs Pro Traveler, which machine to pick
The full-size Hismith Premium against the compact Pro Traveler. Here is how to choose for ToyControl.
Hismith makes more than one machine, and for ToyControl users the choice usually comes down to two: the full-size Premium and the compact Pro Traveler.
The two machines
- Hismith Premium: the full-size machine line, sold in versions such as Premium 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0. More power, longer stroke, wants a fixed spot. Around $300 to $500 depending on the version and kit.
- Hismith Pro Traveler: the compact, portable machine. Less power, but far easier to position and store. Around $250 to $350.
How they differ
The Premium is the stronger machine with the longer stroke, but it is large, heavy, and wants a permanent setup. The Pro Traveler trades some power and stroke length for a footprint you can move and store. Both use Hismith's KlicLok attachments, both pair with ToyControl, and both should be bought in an app-controlled version rather than a wired-remote one.
Pick the Premium if
- You want the most power and the longest stroke.
- You have the space for a fixed setup.
- Machine sessions are a main use, not an occasional one.
Pick the Pro Traveler if
- Space is limited, or you move your gear between rooms.
- You want a lower-commitment, lower-cost entry into machine play.
Verdict
The Premium for power and a permanent setup; the Pro Traveler for space and portability. Both pair with ToyControl over Bluetooth, as long as you buy an app-controlled version. See The best fucking machines.
