How to play scripts with an SLR video
A four-step walkthrough for playing a SexLikeReal interactive scene with your toy through ToyControl. Works on Meta Quest and on a computer.
If you have a SexLikeReal (SLR) Interactive scene and a Bluetooth toy, ToyControl is the bridge. The whole setup takes about five minutes once you have done it once. This article covers the three ways to do it: playing a scene on a Meta Quest headset, playing one as a 2D video on your computer, and how ToyControl fits with the native SLR and DeoVR apps.
The short version
- Get the script. SLR Interactive scenes include the script. Download it (or stream it on Quest).
- Get the video. Either stream it in HereSphere on your Quest, or download it to your computer.
- Pair your toy with ToyControl.
- Load the script in ToyControl.
- Hit play.

The three paths

ToyControl is the most flexible path because it supports a wider catalog of toys and lets you tune intensity, multiplier, and sync precisely. If you have a Tremblr, a Hismith, or any toy outside the few that the SLR app talks to directly, ToyControl is the path.
Path 1: Quest + HereSphere + ToyControl
The full VR setup. About 10 minutes the first time, two minutes every time after.
Step 1: Get the script
SLR Interactive scenes come with the script as part of the scene package. Download both the video and the .funscript from the SLR scene page.
If you watch through SLR's own Quest app, the script is bundled with the streaming scene. You can also stream the scene in HereSphere and download just the script.
Step 2: Install the helper app
The ToyControl helper app is what lets ToyControl talk to your Quest over your home Wi-Fi. Install it once; it lives in your system tray.
Step 3: Connect the Quest
In HereSphere, find the IP address of your Quest. In ToyControl's Connect to VR tab, paste it (or click Scan). Click Connect.

Step 4: Pair your toy
In ToyControl on your computer, click the + in the Devices area. Pick your toy. Confirm in the Bluetooth window. The toy appears in the sidebar.
Step 5: Load the script
Open Script Player, click Import files, pick the .funscript. (Or, if you use folder mode, drop the script into your indexed folder and ToyControl finds it automatically.)
Step 6: Play
Load the video in HereSphere on your Quest. Hit play.
ToyControl auto-loads the matching script if the filename matches the scene name, and the toy follows the action as you watch.
Path 2: Computer + downloaded video
The simpler 2D version. About two minutes from open to playing.
Step 1: Get the video and the script
Download both from SLR's scene page. Save them to a folder on your computer.
Step 2: Pair your toy
Same as above: + in the Devices area, pick the toy, confirm.
Step 3: Load both files into ToyControl
- Open Script Player, click Import files, pick the script.
- Open Video Player, drag the video file in.
If the filenames match, the script auto-pairs to the video. Hit play in the Video Player; the toy follows.

Path 3: Native SLR or DeoVR app
SLR's own apps (the SLR Quest app, DeoVR) can drive a small set of toys directly without ToyControl. If you have a Lovense or a Handy and you mostly use the SLR app, this is sometimes the simplest path.
ToyControl is needed when:
- You have a toy outside the SLR app's built-in list (Tremblr, Hismith, KEON, and many vibrators).
- You want fine sync control (Set First Cue, fine-tune slider, multiplier).
- You want to drive several toys at once in the same session.
- You want remote control rooms or Game Link in the same session.
If those do not matter to you, the native SLR app may be enough. If they do, ToyControl is the path.

For ToyControl, HereSphere is the recommended Quest player. Install it once and most of your VR scenes will run through it.
If the toy lags or leads the video
This is the most common first-time issue. The script was made for a specific cut of the scene, and your copy may be a bit different.
Use Set First Cue:
- As the video plays, watch the screen.
- The instant you see the first action, press the C key on your keyboard.
- ToyControl shifts the whole script to match.
If it is still a hair off, drag the fine-tune slider in 100-millisecond steps. The setting saves per script, so you only do this once.

If the script feels too strong or too weak
In the bottom bar:
- Drag the Multiplier down (0.5x) to soften, up (1.5x) to boost.
- Set a Speed range max to cap intensity.
- Turn on Stretch in the Script Player to exaggerate soft scripts.
What ToyControl does and does not do for SLR
ToyControl:
- Plays SLR scripts on any supported toy.
- Auto-matches scripts to videos by filename.
- Drives a Quest scene through HereSphere via the helper app.
- Lets you fine-tune sync, intensity, and multiplier.
- Supports multiple toys at the same time during an SLR session.
ToyControl does not:
- Replace your SLR subscription. You still need an SLR account to download paid scenes and scripts.
- Stream SLR videos directly. Use SLR's app or HereSphere for streaming.
- Bypass entitlements. If a script requires an SLR Premium plan, you need that plan.
What if my toy is a vibrator, not a stroker
SLR scripts are written for stroker positions, but ToyControl translates them into vibration intensity for vibrators. The same script works for a Lush, a Domi, or a Tremblr. The feel is different, but the timing is right.
For a vibrator, the Stretch toggle in the Script Player makes scripts feel more dynamic. Try it on a soft SLR script and the highs will hit harder.
Frequently asked
Do I need a Quest? No. The computer path works without one.
Do I need a Pro subscription? ToyControl Pro covers script playback. You also need your SLR account separately.
Can I use SLR's free scenes? Yes. Some SLR scenes are free and include scripts. The flow is the same.
Will my Tremblr / Hismith / KEON work? Yes. ToyControl handles a wide range of toys. See Toys that work with ToyControl.
Does the script work with PSVR2 or Vision Pro? Apple Vision Pro is more limited; see Does ToyControl work on Apple Vision Pro. PSVR2 is not a primary path today.
