Lioness

Pair the Lioness biofeedback vibrator with ToyControl. Pair it in your system Bluetooth first using PIN 6496, then connect from the app.

The Lioness is a biofeedback vibrator. It has an unusual pairing flow that needs two steps: first you pair it in your operating system's Bluetooth settings with a PIN, then you connect it from ToyControl. Doing the system pairing first is required; ToyControl cannot prompt for the PIN.

Before you start

The Lioness should be fully charged.
The PIN is 6496 (some firmware accepts 006496 as well).
Close the Lioness app if it is open.

Step 1: Pair the Lioness in your system Bluetooth

Open your operating system's Bluetooth settings (System Settings on macOS, Settings → Bluetooth on Windows).
Press and hold the Lioness's power button until the indicator light starts blinking.
The Lioness should appear in your OS Bluetooth list. Add it as a new device.
When prompted for a PIN, enter 6496 (or 006496 if your firmware requires the longer form).
The Lioness should now show as connected in your OS Bluetooth settings.

Step 2: Connect it in ToyControl

Open ToyControl at toycontrol.app in Chrome or Edge.
Click the + in the Devices section.
Pick Lioness (biofeedback) from the catalog.
In the Bluetooth window, select your Lioness.
Click Pair.
The Lioness appears in the sidebar with a green dot.

Test it

Click Test toy at the bottom. The Lioness should vibrate briefly.

A note on sensor data

The Lioness collects biofeedback data through its sensors. ToyControl reads the data line for future features, but it is not used to drive anything today.

Troubleshooting

Lioness not appearing in OS Bluetooth. Make sure it is in pairing mode (light blinking). Try the PIN in the longer form (006496).
PIN rejected. Make sure you entered 6496 exactly. Some firmware revisions are strict about the form.
Pairs in OS but not in ToyControl. Confirm the OS still shows it connected, then re-open the device picker in ToyControl.
