Lovense Connect (phone-app bridge)
Use the Lovense Connect app on your phone as a bridge to ToyControl. Useful when direct Bluetooth is unreliable, or your browser cannot pair toys directly.
Lovense Connect is a phone-app bridge. The Lovense Connect app on your phone pairs with the toy, and ToyControl talks to your phone over Wi-Fi. Use this path when direct Bluetooth is unreliable, or in browsers that cannot pair toys directly (Firefox, Safari). Note: Lovense Connect is a separate app from Lovense Remote; you want the one called Lovense Connect.
Before you start
- Install the Lovense Connect app on your phone.
- Pair the toy with the Lovense Connect app on the phone first, the usual way.
- The phone and the computer must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
Pair via Lovense Connect
- Open the Lovense Connect app on the phone.
- The app shows a local URL that looks like
http://192.168.1.42:30010. - In ToyControl, click the + in the Devices section.
- Pick Lovense Connect (via phone app) from the catalog.
- Paste the URL into the field, then click Connect.
- The toy appears in the ToyControl sidebar with a green dot.
Test it
Click Test toy at the bottom. The toy should respond briefly.
When to use this path
- Your browser is Firefox or Safari and cannot pair toys directly.
- Your computer's Bluetooth pairing is unreliable.
- You already use the Lovense Connect app and prefer to keep it as the pairing layer.
Troubleshooting
- Could not reach the URL. Phone and computer on the same Wi-Fi? Some networks (corporate, guest) block device-to-device traffic; switch to a home network.
- URL keeps changing. Lovense Connect picks an IP from the phone's Wi-Fi connection. If your phone reconnects to Wi-Fi, copy the new URL.
- No toys appear. Pair the toy with the Lovense Connect app on the phone first, and keep the phone unlocked while you connect.
