The toy pairs with the computer, not the headset
This is the key point. Your Bluetooth toy does not connect to the VR headset. It connects to your computer, where ToyControl is running. The headset just plays the video.
The flow looks like this:
- The toy is paired to your computer over Bluetooth.
- The headset plays a VR scene in HereSphere.
- ToyControl on the computer watches the headset and drives the toy to match.
The headset and the toy never talk to each other directly, so the toy being Bluetooth is not a problem.
What this means in practice
- Keep the toy near the computer, within roughly three meters. It does not need to be near the headset.
