How to connect your toy to Heat VR
Heat VR uses Lovense Game Mode. Three-step setup with ToyControl to drive any supported toy from Heat VR scenes.
Heat VR is a VR adult experience with built-in Lovense support. Like most adult VR games, it uses Lovense Game Mode under the hood, which means ToyControl works as a drop-in. You can drive any of our supported toys from a Heat VR scene, not just Lovense.
Setup is three steps after the helper app is installed.
What you need
- A toy paired with ToyControl in your browser.
- The ToyControl helper app running on your computer.
- Heat VR installed on your PC (PC VR) or on your Quest (standalone).
- The computer and the headset on the same Wi-Fi.
Step 1: Get the connection target in ToyControl
- Open ToyControl at toycontrol.app.
- Make sure your toy is paired (green dot in the sidebar).
- Click Game Link in the sidebar.
- You will see a connection target like
192.168.1.42:6010. - Copy it.
Step 2: Enter the target in Heat VR
- Launch Heat VR.
- Once in the game, open the settings menu.
- Find the Devices or Teledildonics section.
- Look for Lovense and a field for IP and port.
- Paste the IP and port from ToyControl.
- Click Connect or Scan.
The game finds ToyControl's emulated Lovense endpoint and treats it as a real Lovense toy. Heat VR does not know it is talking to ToyControl, and ToyControl does not need to know it is being driven by Heat VR. The translation happens automatically.
Step 3: Verify it works
In the Game Link tab of ToyControl, watch the Activity log. When you start a scene in Heat VR, the log fills with Vibrate:N commands. Your toy responds.
If the log is empty, the game has not connected yet. Re-check the IP and port and confirm both devices are on the same Wi-Fi.
Tuning the feel
Heat VR sends Lovense-style commands. ToyControl shapes them with the standard controls:
- Multiplier in the bottom bar scales the whole session.
- Speed range max caps the top intensity.
- Per-device intensity scales just one toy if you have several paired.
If Heat VR drives the toy too hard for your taste, set the Multiplier to 0.7x. If you want more, try 1.3x.
Troubleshooting
Heat VR cannot find ToyControl
- Confirm the helper app is running. Open
http://localhost:8765/healthzin any browser; you should seeok. - Make sure Heat VR and ToyControl are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Try the IP and port one more time. Copy and paste; do not retype.
Connected but the toy is not moving
- Click Test toy in ToyControl. If it works, the issue is in Heat VR's output. Check that the in-game scene is actually playing.
- Check the per-device intensity slider in the sidebar.
- Make sure the speed range max in the bottom bar is not zero.
Heat VR on PCVR vs Quest standalone
- PCVR: Both Heat VR and ToyControl run on the same PC. Use your PC's local IP for the connection target.
- Quest standalone: Heat VR runs on the Quest. Both your PC (where ToyControl is) and the Quest need to be on the same Wi-Fi.
Privacy
The connection is local. Heat VR finds ToyControl on your home Wi-Fi. No game vendor cloud is involved. The Activity log is not sent to us.
