What the lights on your Lovense toy mean

Lovense toys use a small indicator light to show charging, pairing, and connected status. A quick reference for every state.

Every Lovense toy has a small indicator light that tells you the state of the toy at a glance. Knowing what each pattern means saves time when something is not working.

The standard Lovense indicator code

This applies to Lush, Hush, Domi, Edge, Nora, Max, and the rest of the range. Lovense uses the light pattern, more than the colour, to tell you what is happening.

LightWhat it means
Solid redCharging. The toy is on the cable and not yet full.
No light while on the chargerFully charged. The red light turns off when charging finishes.
BlinkingIn pairing mode, ready for an app to connect.
Steady lightOn and connected to an app.
No light, off the chargerOff, or the battery is empty.

The exact behaviour can vary slightly between models. If in doubt, check the manual for your specific toy.

The most common scenarios

"My toy is blinking but ToyControl cannot find it"

A blinking light means the toy is in pairing mode and looking for an app. ToyControl should be able to see it. If not:

"My toy shows a solid red light"

Solid red means the toy is charging. Leave it on the cable. When it is full, the red light turns off.

"My toy has no light at all"

If it is off the charger:

If it is on the charger with no light, that usually means it is fully charged.

Charge time

A Lovense toy shows a solid red light while charging, and the light turns off when it is full. Most Lovense toys take somewhere between roughly one and a half and three hours to charge fully, depending on the model. Check your toy's manual for the exact figure.

You do not need to wait for a full charge to pair. Once the toy has had a reasonable charge, you can start using it.

Non-Lovense toys

The indicator code above is Lovense-specific. Other brands use their own conventions:

For any non-Lovense toy, the manufacturer's manual or product page is the reliable source.

A quick check before troubleshooting

If you are not sure whether your toy is on, paired, or charged, look at the light first:

  1. No light, and off the charger? Press the power button.
  2. Blinking? Open ToyControl and pair it.
  3. Steady light? It is on. Pair it in ToyControl if you have not.
  4. Solid red? It is charging. Leave it, or unplug it once the light goes out.

That covers most "wait, what is my toy doing" moments.
