Running multiple toys at once

Pair two or more toys in the same session. Each gets its own controls, or one can mirror another with independent intensity.

ToyControl can run several toys at the same time. You pair each one the way you paired the first, and each toy gets its own tab in the main area, its own row in the sidebar, and its own settings. They can run independently, or one can follow another with its own intensity calibration.

Who it is for

How it works

The first toy is paired the way you paired any first toy. Click + in the Devices area of the sidebar, pick the toy, confirm in the Bluetooth window.

For each additional toy:

  1. Click + again.
  2. Pick the second toy from the catalog.
  3. Pair as before.

Both toys are now in the sidebar. Click each toy's row to switch the main area to that toy's tab.

The browser caps practical concurrent pairings at 5 to 7 toys per session. Most users do not approach the limit.

Per-toy tabs

Each toy's tab has its own copy of:

Settings are independent. Changing one toy's intensity does not change the other's.

Following another toy

If you want toy B to do the same thing as toy A, but with its own intensity calibration, use Follow another device.

  1. Pair both toys.
  2. Click the second toy's row.
  3. Pick Follow another device from the source list.
  4. Select the first toy.

The second toy now mirrors the first. Whatever toy A is playing, toy B plays the same signal. The big trick: toy B keeps its own per-device intensity, speed range, multiplier, and suction. This lets a vibrator follow a stroker without screaming at full power, or a strong wand follow a small bullet vibrator without overwhelming.

See Making one toy mirror another.

Copying settings between toys

If you have one toy tuned the way you like and want to copy those settings to another toy, use Copy settings from... in the second toy's tab.

This is a one-time deep copy. Source state (the script you have loaded, the pattern phase) is duplicated. Hardware fields (multiplier, range, intensity) stay independent and are not affected.

Common multi-toy setups

A few real examples:

The sidebar mixing desk

Once you have multiple toys, the sidebar is your mixing desk. Each toy's row has:

The active toy (the one showing in the main area) is highlighted. Click another row to switch.

What happens when one toy disconnects

If one toy drops mid-session, the others keep playing. The disconnected toy's row shows a red dot. You can click it to reconnect (a new pair flow) or remove it.

This is by design. Multi-toy sessions should not collapse because of a single Bluetooth blip.

The pairing limit

Browsers have a hard limit on the number of Bluetooth toys you can connect at once. In practice, 5 to 7 toys per session. If you try to pair an eighth and your browser does not respond, you have hit the cap. Disconnect a toy you are not using to free a slot.

This is a browser limit, not ours.

Try it

If you have two toys:

  1. Pair the first one (the way you did when you started).
  2. Click + to pair the second.
  3. Click each toy's row to see independent controls.
  4. Pick a source on the second toy, or set it to follow the first.
