Profiles
Save named sets of settings and reload them with one click. A profile is your favourite session bookmarked for later.
Profiles let you save a named set of ToyControl settings (multiplier, speed range, intensity scale, pattern settings, sometimes more) and reload them later with one click. Useful for users who run several distinct session types and do not want to retune every time.
What it is
A profile is a snapshot of your current settings. You give it a name, save it, and any time you want those settings back, you load the profile.
What goes into a profile:
- Multiplier (the per-session scale in the bottom bar).
- Speed range (min and max).
- Per-device intensity scale for each paired toy.
- Source view (which tab you were on).
- Pattern settings (range, rhythm, smoothness, large-rhythm-changes, current preset).
- Suction bias (Tremblr only).
What does not go into a profile:
- Toy pairings. Pairings are per-browser session, not per-profile.
- Scripts in your library. Library content is separate.
- Account or subscription info.
Who it is for
- Users who switch between session types (gentle, intense, long, short).
- Couples with two profiles: one for solo sessions, one for shared.
- Users with multiple toys who want different calibrations saved per setup.
- Anyone tired of retuning the multiplier every time.
How to save a profile
- Tune ToyControl to the settings you want.
- Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and click Profile.
- Click Save current as new profile.
- Give it a name (e.g., "Gentle evening", "Intense edging", "Couples with Lush+Tremblr").
- Save.
The profile appears in your saved list.
How to load a profile
- Open the account menu and click Profile.
- From the list of saved profiles, click the one you want.
- ToyControl applies the settings.
The active source view, multiplier, speed range, and per-device intensities all update.
Use cases
"Tonight is a gentle one"
Save a profile with Multiplier 0.5x, Speed range 0-60, no Stretch. Name it "Gentle". Next time you want a low-key session, load it.
"It's edging night"
Save with Multiplier 1.0x, Speed range 20-90, Large rhythm changes on. Name it "Edging".
"Partner session"
Save the speed cap, max intensity, and any per-device settings for when your partner is driving. Name it "With [partner name]" or "Remote night".
"Different toy setup"
If you sometimes use a Lush alone, sometimes a Lush + Tremblr together, save the calibration for each setup. Loading the right profile gives you the right per-device intensity for whatever toys are connected.
Editing a profile
To update a saved profile:
- Load it.
- Adjust the settings.
- Click Profile > Save current to selected profile.
This overwrites the saved version with the current settings.
If you want a new variant without overwriting, save as a new profile with a different name.
Deleting a profile
In the Profile menu, find the profile, click the trash icon. The profile is removed; current settings stay where they are.
Account-tied profiles
Profiles save to your account. If you sign in on another browser with the same email, your profiles come along. See Saving your settings across devices.
For anonymous accounts, profiles save to the browser only. Losing the cookie loses the profiles. See Recovering an anonymous account.
A note on default settings
If you do not save profiles, ToyControl always remembers your last-used settings. The profile system is for switching between distinct setups, not for "saving" your one setup.
Most users start without profiles, then add a few once they realize they switch contexts.
Future improvements
A few things on the roadmap (not yet shipped):
- Per-script profiles. Linking a profile to a specific script so loading the script also loads the profile.
- Quick-switch hotkey. Cycle through profiles with a keyboard shortcut.
- Share profiles. Export a profile as a small file, share with friends.
These are not in the current build. If you specifically want one, open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and click Request a feature; that reaches us directly.
