Five things to do the first night with ToyControl

A short list of starter sessions for your first evening with ToyControl. Patterns, scripts, rooms, multiple toys, and Quest. Pick whichever sounds best.

You paired your first toy with ToyControl. Now what? Here are five short sessions you can try on the first night, each in about 10-30 minutes. Pick whichever sounds best. There is no order.

1. Try a pattern preset (5 minutes)

The fastest path to "the toy is doing something."

1. Click Patterns in the sidebar.
2. Tap the Tease preset.
3. Click Send preset.

The toy starts a varied, gentle rhythm. Let it run for five minutes. Try Warm Up, Ride, and Edge to see how they feel different. The presets are tuned for different moods.

2. Play a script with a video (20 minutes)

The most popular use of ToyControl.

1. Find a script. The community site eroscripts.com has free options. Pick a scene with a script available.
2. Download both the video and the .funscript file.
3. In ToyControl, click Video Player, drag the video in.
4. Click Script Player, click Import files, pick the script.
5. Hit play.

The toy moves with the action. If the timing feels off, press C when you see the first action on screen and the script aligns.

3. Open a private room (5-10 minutes)

Even if you do not have a partner, opening a room is worth doing once to see how it works.

1. Open a second browser window or tab.
2. In ToyControl on tab 1, click Group play, set the room to Private in the Start a room card, and click Start room. Copy the 5-letter code.
3. In tab 2, click Group play and paste the code into the Join a room card, then click Join room.
4. Now you have two browser windows in the same room. Drag the slider in tab 2 and watch the toy respond.

It is a bit silly to do it alone, but you will know exactly how the flow works the next time you do it with a partner.

4. Add a second toy (5 minutes)

If you have two toys (yours and a partner's, or two of your own), pair both.

1. Click the + in the Devices section.
2. Pick the second toy.
3. Pair as you did the first.

Now click each toy's row in the sidebar. Each one has its own intensity slider. Try setting one to 100% and the other to 50%, then start a pattern. Two different feels, one click.

5. Connect a Quest (15 minutes)

If you have a Meta Quest, this is where ToyControl shines.

1. Install the helper app on your computer.
2. Install HereSphere on the Quest.
3. Open HereSphere, note the IP.
4. In ToyControl, click the Connect to VR section, paste the IP, click Connect.
5. Play a video in HereSphere.

The toy follows the scene. This is the magic combo for VR scenes.

A few small things to know

• The bottom bar is the mixing desk. Pause, Test toy, Multiplier, Speed range. Get familiar with these; they save you in a tight spot.
• Each toy has its own settings. Click the row, change settings, click another row, different settings.
• Trial counter ticks only when actively playing. Idle time does not eat into your 10 free hours.

When something feels off

• Toy not moving? See My toy connected but is not moving.
